The Progressive Agriculture Foundation® teams with Polaris Inc. Promoting ATV/UTV Youth Safety and Education in Rural Communities
[June 17, 2024; Birmingham, Alabama] – In celebration of National Safety Month, the Progressive Agriculture Foundation® (PAF), a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to offering education, training, and resources to promote safety and health in rural communities, is celebrating its ongoing strategic partnership with global powersports leader Polaris Inc. (Polaris) in a newly produced partnership video.
Connecting youth and families in rural communities with off-road safety education on the responsible use of all-terrain vehicles (ATV) and utility-terrain vehicles (UTV) is the shared vision of this collaboration.
Dana Anderson, Director of Community Relations at Polaris, says, “It’s important to teach riders of all ages responsible riding, but it’s particularly critical to instill at a young age. By partnering with PAF, we can continue our outreach in rural areas across North America to educate youth riders. With engaging demonstrations, PAF Safety Days encourage children to participate in hands-on education related to ATVs while having fun. The Progressive Agriculture Foundation® is a leader in youth safety, and we are proud to be a partner.”
Since 2019, Polaris has been a partner of the Foundation, providing support as well as a youth side-by-side RANGER UTV. The Foundation’s PAF Safety Day program has been offering ATV/UTV hands-on education with peer-reviewed curriculum since 1997. Among the nearly 400 PAF Safety Day programs throughout the United States and Canada, ATV/UTV safety has consistently ranked in the top five most popular topics offered among the more than 30 safety and health areas available.
Brian Kuhl, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Progressive Agriculture Foundation®, shared his thoughts on the collaboration, stating, “Our partnership with Polaris has been a wonderful, mutually beneficial relationship focused on expanding youth safety. We value finding partners who care about making a meaningful difference in children’s lives. Our hands-on interactive approach keeps children engaged and makes the learning process fun. With agricultural-related incidents, specifically around ATVs, happening all too common nowadays, it is empowering to work with a global leader, like Polaris who is focused on promoting safe riding practices for youth.”
